Guinea Pigs Prevail, 5-3, Over Toledo

The home crowd had a good time watching the Toledo Saboteurs and Gwinnett Guinea Pigs get after it.
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs topped the Toledo Saboteurs, 5-3, in USSL Double A action at Experimental Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Gwinnett pitcher Ronald Love. Love went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-2.
In the bottom of the fifth, Gwinnett left fielder Chandler Schroeder had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Schroeder stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-2, Gwinnett. For the game, he was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Gwinnett manager Tabor de Maria.
Gwinnett has now won 3 in a row.
