The Toledo Saboteurs stopped the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 7-6, at Field of the Rawhides. The Saboteurs got a big game from Tom Scroby, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times. At 12-17, the Saboteurs are currently 8th in the Silver AA.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Rich Pope to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Squirrel Hill manager Roy Clay. "But we decided not to take it."
