3-1 Loss Extends Toledo Losing Streak
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs had to overcome a fine performance from Toledo pitcher Gerardo Justisia to grab a 3-1 win at Toledo Backyard Park. Justisia allowed 2 runs over 7.1 innings. Chris Edwards closed the door for Gwinnett, picking up his 9th save of the year. Toledo has now lost 9 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Gwinnett, had it not been for Marcos Espinoza, the 23-year old catcher . Espinoza contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Gwinnett up, 2-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Gwinnett manager Tabor de Maria.
