Whales Get One-Run Win at Billings
The Virginia Beach Whales beat the Billings Polar Bears, 6-5, at The Igloo. Virginia Beach first baseman Gregory Jones had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. At 14-10, the Whales claim third place in the Silver AA.

In the top of the second, with Virginia Beach leading 2-0, center fielder Neung-uk Yi hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Hidehira Shibutani and put the Whales ahead, 4-0.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Billings manager Marvin Nelson. "The effort was great."
