Expos Deal Storm 4-2 Loss
|
Niagara Falls Expos starter Satya Soedjatmoko pitched a strong game against the Syracuse Storm at Storm Park, leading the Expos to victory, 4-2. Soedjatmoko, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Júlio Perea was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
It could have been a different outcome for Niagara Falls, had it not been for Konrad Velthuizen, the 21-year old second baseman . Velthuizen contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Niagara Falls up, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Niagara Falls skipper Dave Davis.
Niagara Falls now has a record of 2-2.
