|
The Billings Polar Bears topped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Stan Daniels. Daniels went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Polar Bears. Hisham Daud, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits. The win puts Billings at 7-6.
Daniels had a timely hit for Billings in the top of the eighth. With Chesapeake trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 6-4, Billings.
