Farmers Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
|
The 6-5 Lancaster win over Irving was due in large part to José Sandoval. The Farmers catcher was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With this game in the books, Lancaster is 47-52, Irving 63-36.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Sandoval hit a curveball from Mannus Coppens for a run-scoring single. The Farmers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Sandoval said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
