Thunder Lose to Blue Sox in Walk Off
The Irving Blue Sox withstood an impressive performance by St. Petersburg first baseman Mario Roldán to defeat the Thunder, 6-5, at Blue Sox Ballpark. Roldán went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Adrian Madrid, now 5-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. This win makes it 5 in a row for Irving.

Gabriel Serrano was the walk-off hero for Irving. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Sox pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Blue Sox manager Willie Mitchell, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
