Asheville got a strong outing from Jesús Gordini as the Highlanders defeated the Crescent City Krewe, 4-0, at Field of the Krewe. The victory puts Asheville at 31-52.

The Highlanders got an important contribution from third baseman Rutger McGroarty, who in the top of the first hit a changeup into left-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Highlanders ahead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McGroarty.
