Blimps Lose to Highlanders in Walk Off
The Akron Blimps got a sterling performance from first baseman Ole Geenen, but the Asheville Highlanders still prevailed, 5-4. Geenen slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Highlanders raised their record to 21-40.

Lenny Taunton was the walk-off hero for Asheville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Highlanders catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
