The Casper Ghosts defeated the Yakima Hops, 5-1, at The Graveyard today. Leading the charge for Casper was pitcher Phil Berry. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Hirokazu Morita collected his 6th save. The 10th-place Ghosts have won 4 straight.

The Hops had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Ghosts going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old right fielder Luis Rey came to the plate. Rey hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch changeup from Yakima hurler Dan Barnes. It was Rey's 9th home run of the year.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Casper manager Kevin Tyler.
