McMahon, Highlanders Too Much for Love Boats
Asheville and Lake Minnetonka duked it out and the Highlanders came out victorious.

The Asheville Highlanders topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats by a score of 6-3. Leading the way was first baseman George McMahon. McMahon went 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Highlanders. Picking up the save was Rob Green, his 8th.

Early in the game, right fielder Juan Sapinoso had a 2-run home run for Asheville. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 2-0.

"Enjoyed this one," McMahon told the Asheville Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The win puts Asheville at 17-39.
