The Ithaca Fighting Imps topped the Akron Blimps, 6-3, in M3L Double A action at Imps Park. The standout performance belonged to Ithaca pitcher and Shanwei, China, native Mang Zhong. Zhong picked up the win for Ithaca, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-3. With the win, the Fighting Imps sit at 33-21.

The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from left fielder Liam Greer, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Fighting Imps on top, 3-1.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Ithaca manager Gary Thomas.
