The Lancaster Farmers topped the Akron Blimps, 1-0, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. The standout performance belonged to Lancaster pitcher and Indianapolis, Indiana, native Jerry Sargent. Kamaliela Kaulo picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Rich Roberts was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Farmers to 24-24.

Lancaster took a 1-0 lead on Ronnie Connor's 11th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Akron pitcher Rich Roberts in the bottom of the seventh.

Afterward, Farmers manager Dylan Smith was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
