A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Ottawa Nationals and Lake Minnetonka Love Boats.

Ottawa starter Raúl Martínez put a stranglehold on the Lake Minnetonka offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Nationals to a 6-1 win. Martínez got the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. Martínez allowed 1 run. Gary Dillon earned the save for Ottawa, his 15th.

In the top of the first, Lorenzo Morales ambushed a 1-1 slider from José Pérez and hit a solo home run. It gave Ottawa a quick 1-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Morales. "And not try to do too much."

Ottawa now owns a record of 23-22.
