Patriots Collect 2-1 Win Over Coeur
|
The St. Louis Coeur got a superb performance from pitcher Valentin Calhamar. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boston. The Patriots won the game, 2-1. Calhamar threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The 5th-place Patriots go to 36-37.
The Patriots procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Tony Parra. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place was jumping at the end," Parra said.
