Skidding Highlanders Lose 9th Straight
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats had to overcome a fine effort from Asheville pitcher Bruce Wilson to grab a narrow 2-0 win at Heron Field. Wilson went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs. Goro Abe earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-1. Asheville now has a 9-game losing streak.

Lake Minnetonka took a 2-0 lead on Joy-shan Tung's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Tung hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Asheville pitcher Tom Young visibly frustrated.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Tung.
