6-2 Loss to Krewe Extends Asheville Losing Streak
|
The Crescent City Krewe beat the Asheville Highlanders, 6-2, at Asheville Park. Bill Palmer, in particular, was impressive. He belted 2 home runs. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Asheville.
Crescent City relied on the bat of Juan Jiménez to get the win. The catcher ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Krewe ahead, 3-2. For the game, Jiménez had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.
Jiménez attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
