In a low-scoring clash between Ottawa and Crescent City, pitcher Dan McIntyre was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 win. Gary Dillon recorded his 6th save for Ottawa. The Nationals move to 10-14 with the win, while the Krewe drop to 12-12.
Ottawa used a timely hit from Johnny Scott to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Scott. "And not try to do too much."
