Darwin Donovan pitched well, but his team, the Ottawa Nationals, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Nationals Park. Lake Minnetonka reliever Stephen Hollingsworth picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Darwin Donovan shouldered the loss. Picking up the save was Jasper Smulders, his 4th.

Lake Minnetonka used the timely hitting of Mike Manley to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Love Boats on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Manley said.

The win puts Lake Minnetonka at 9-4.
