Asheville and Akron got after it at Goodyear Hanger Dome.

The Asheville Highlanders had to overcome a big game from Akron left fielder Art Hensley to leave Goodyear Hanger Dome with a victory. And they did, winning 8-5. Hensley was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Rob Green, his 2nd.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Fernando Castro to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Castro told a Asheville Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The win leaves Asheville with a record of 4-5.
