Kolby Hay was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Charleston Battery. The second baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Ft. Worth reliever Han-wu Zhu was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Emílio González took the loss. The Cattlemen now have a record of 42-41.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Hay delivered big-time for Ft. Worth, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Emílio González. The game-changing hit put the Cattlemen on top, 3-2.
