Great Day for Teague, Hits for Cycle
|
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Frank Teague's day was a special one.
The right fielder hit for the cycle to spark the Nashville Outlaws to a 5-1 victory over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Nashville Stadium today. Nashville manager Ben Draus said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Teague in particular.
"Frank caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."
For the day, Teague finished with 3 RBI and 1 run scored to go with his 4 hits.
Frank Teague flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rafael Navarro in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
To date Teague has chalked up a .275 average with 14 home runs, driven in 50 runs and scored 41 times.
