Knights Lose to Northern Lions BC, 6-4
|
Thunder Bay and Kingston Township duked it out and the Northern Lions BC came out victorious.
No one was more impactful than Dusty Crum in the 6-4 Thunder Bay win over Kingston Township. Crum, the first overall pick in the 2040 draft, went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Jorge Souza, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 3-6. Ralph Hanscombe, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Thunder Bay grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Crum, the first overall pick in the 2040 draft, hit a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season put the Northern Lions BC out in front, 3-2.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Crum told the Thunder Bay Herald. "It's as simple as that."
The win makes Thunder Bay 27-32.
