Clark Leads Cattlemen to 6-1 Win Over Browns
|
Led by Lewis N. Clark, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Cleveland Browns, 6-1. Clark went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Cattlemen. The winning pitcher was Kabeya Kasongo. He's now 2-1. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Cattlemen. Ft. Worth now sits in 8th place in the Third League at 22-26.
With Ft. Worth leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Clark hit a circle change from Eugene Phillips for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Cattlemen ahead, 5-0.
