The Las Vegas Flamingos and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

No one was more impactful than Eric MacKichan in the 8-2 Thunder Bay win over Las Vegas. MacKichan, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L in home runs with 13, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. Thunder Bay reliever Rich Conklin was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Román Mejía took the loss for Las Vegas.

In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, MacKichan hit a solo home run to put his team ahead.

"We came out aggressive," said Northern Lions BC manager Scott Williams. "We came out swinging the bats."

Today's win puts Thunder Bay at 20-24, while Las Vegas falls to 20-24.
