Oaks Come Up Short at Charleston, 1-0
|
Charleston rode a good effort from starter Everett Pratt to beat the Oakland Oaks at Charleston Armory. The final score was 1-0. Earning his 5th save of the year was James Tucker. Charleston, with the win, sits at 12-32.
Orlando Sáenz drove in one run for Charleston. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Andy Dundee. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
Pratt told a Charleston Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
