The Akron Blimps got a stellar performance from pitcher Rich Roberts, who handcuffed the Asheville offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Akron goes to 4-3.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but António Gallegos didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and Asheville trailing 1-0, Gallegos retired Fernando Castro to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Gallegos, with a wink.
