White Hits Two Homers in 9-2 Win for Norfolk
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Norfolk right fielder Donald White had 5 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Monongahela Monsters, 9-2. The winning pitcher was Yu-wei Kum. He tossed 104 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits.
Early in the game, White had a 3-run home run for Norfolk. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Pajaritos on top, 3-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," White told the Norfolk Herald. "It's as simple as that."
The first-place Pajaritos have a record of 56-37.
