Squirrel Monkeys Win at Norfolk, 4-3
|
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys picked up a win at Norfolk Field, knocking off the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-3. On the mound for Syracuse was right-hander Stuart Chase, who played a pivotal role in the win. Chase went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-2. Juan González converted his 9th save in 10 tries.
Chipping in for Syracuse was center fielder Felino Edrada. He stroked a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth. For the game, Edrada went 2-5 with a triple.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Edrada.
With the victory, the Squirrel Monkeys upped their record to 51-38.
