Rainbeaus Get One-Run Win at Hialeah
The Kansas Rainbeaus faced a tough opponent in Hialeah pitcher Kagetoki Matsubara, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dodos Ballpark by a final score of 5-4. Matsubara went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Luis Valdés got the save, his 14th in 17 chances. Kansas raised its record to 46-42 with the win.

Juan Martínez, the 25-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Martínez contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Kansas up, 5-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Martínez.
