The Austin Black Mambas got a stellar performance from pitcher George Crane, who handcuffed the Sioux Falls offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Mamba Park. Steve Denton earned the save, his 6th in 6 tries. The 6th-place Black Mambas raised their record to 42-43.

Armando Viña, the Austin right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-0, Black Mambas. For the game, Viña went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.

"Enjoyed this one," Crane told the Austin Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
