Fighting Dachsunds Earn 3-2 Win Versus Rainbeaus
In a close game at Wichita Field, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds edged the Kansas Rainbeaus, 3-2. Ellenburg catcher Xavier Gonzalez stood apart with his performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ellenburg reliever Jong-yun Chong picked up the win, while Ben Hankins took the loss for Kansas. Ellenburg now owns a record of 42-39.

Gonzalez had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a first pitch slider from Ben Hankins, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Fighting Dachsunds a 3-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Gonzalez.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Hunter Curtis, the Ellenburg skipper. "This one tested us."
