Port Huron second baseman Tom Scroby made his presence felt in the 6-3 Blitzkrieg triumph over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Scroby was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Steve Sanford got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Red Pandas to no runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. James Spencer closed the game out for Port Huron, earning his 8th save.
Ralph Titus tagged a home run off Luis Bongers in the bottom of the second. His 3-run blast put the Blitzkrieg on top, 3-0. In all, Titus had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Scroby called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Port Huron, with the win, climbs to 26-54.
