Tight Tilt Goes to Black Mambas, 4-3
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Monongahela Monsters, 4-3, in USSL Triple A action at Mamba Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Austin pitcher George Crane. Picking up the save was Duane Coleman, his 9th. With the victory, the Black Mambas upped their record to 40-40.
Doug Page had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Austin. He came through with a solo home run to put Austin in front, 4-2.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Crane said after the game.
