Black Mambas Walk It Off for 36th Win of Season
The Austin Black Mambas had to overcome a big game from Syracuse third baseman Justin Schock to leave Mamba Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. Schock went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Austin reliever Tadayuki Ito picked up the win, raising his record to 5-0. Virgil Gilbert was tagged with the loss. The Black Mambas now have a record of 36-37 with the win over Syracuse.

The Black Mambas relied on first baseman Ben Chell for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 16th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.

"This place was rockin'," said Chell.
