Austin Gets 9-7 Win
Hialeah got a terrific game from left fielder Mark Wofford. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Austin, 9-7. Wofford was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Earning his 6th save for Austin was Walton Gibbs. Austin now sits at 35-37, while Hialeah falls to 28-44.

Austin used a timely hit from Shawn Mullins to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Austin manager Juan Cuestas.
