Kansas beat Port Huron at Wichita Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Darrell MacGregor. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hugh Hudson, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Kansas is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Kansas catcher Mike Hunt, facing James Spencer, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rainbeaus the 6-5 win.
