Blitzkrieg Deal Rainbeaus 7-2 Defeat
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Coy MacKey, the Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Kansas Rainbeaus, 7-2. MacKey went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blitzkrieg. Chris Bailey, the winning pitcher, is now 3-3. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 4. James Spencer recorded the save for Port Huron, his 5th of the season.

The Rainbeaus had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Blitzkrieg going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old shortstop Gary Bly came to the plate. Bly hit a 2-run home run on a 1-1 slider from Kansas hurler Chao Khu. It was Bly's 2nd home run of the year.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Port Huron manager Harrison Blackford.

The victory makes Port Huron 16-30.
