Flores Hits 2 home runs in Monsters Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Monongahela Monsters and Hialeah Dodos.
The Monongahela Monsters grabbed a win, 5-3, over the Hialeah Dodos at Dodos Ballpark. Monongahela first baseman Martín Flores was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ángel Santingo picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 2-1.
In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Flores hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Flores. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
Monongahela occupies 7th place in the Silver AAA at 20-22.
