The Austin Black Mambas wiggled past the Pawnee ParksNRec, 4-3, at Whips Ballpark. The win was highlighted by the performance of Austin pitcher Pat Pierce. Steve Denton finished the game for Austin and earned his 4th save. The 4th-place Black Mambas are 18-18.
Austin needed the clutch hitting of Donald Martin to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Black Mambas on top, 4-3. For the game, Martin had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
