Chase, Squirrel Monkeys Get 1-0 Win

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 1-0, at The Zoo in Syracuse. Starting pitcher Stuart Chase was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Syracuse raised its record to 21-13 with the win.
Chase, a native of Modesto, California, was dealing all game. He kept Kansas hitters off-balance, while giving the Squirrel Monkeys 8 quality innings. Chase threw 90 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 3.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Syracuse manager Stu Henderson said.
