The Port Huron Blitzkrieg faced a tough opponent in Norfolk pitcher Yu-wei Kum, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Norfolk Field by a final score of 7-4. Kum went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to José Santos in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Hsiao-lou Lei took the loss. The Blitzkrieg go to 10-23 with the win.

Port Huron used the timely hitting of Coy MacKey to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

In comments to the Port Huron Times, MacKey admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
