Red Pandas Prevail, 4-3, Over Ellenburg
|
Sioux Falls picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, toppling the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 4-3. Pitcher Otto Mathews was one of the reasons the Red Pandas triumphed. Sioux Falls reliever Mariano Bueno was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Ray White took the loss. Sioux Falls is 7th in the Silver AAA with a record of 14-17.
Had John Williams not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Williams hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Red Pandas.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Williams.
