Monsters Get 7-4 Win Versus Kansas
|
The Monongahela Monsters beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 7-4. Monongahela pitcher and Front Royal, Virginia, native Nathan May led the way. Luis Boll earned the save for Monongahela, his 5th of the year. The Monsters' win now puts them at 12-16.
In the top of the ninth, Erwan Michel stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Rainbeaus were trailing 7-4, but had the bases loaded. That's when Luis Boll made a terrific pitch and Michel struck out. Gone was the dream of a Kansas comeback.
