Fighting Dachsunds Pull Even With 9-5 Victory
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Hialeah Dodos, 9-5, at Dog Park in Ellenburg today. Leading the charge for Ellenburg was designated hitter Neal Lewis. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Herman Griffin. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Fighting Dachsunds are now 14-14, while the Dodos fall to 11-17.

Roberto Gómez, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in triples with 2, helped out the Ellenburg cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4 with a walk.
