Monongahela pitcher Andrés García did his part in helping his team beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Earning his 4th save of the year was Luis Boll. The win makes Monongahela 11-15.

The Red Pandas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Monsters going into the top of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old catcher Hsui-chuan Tsou came to the plate. Tsou hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 changeup from Sioux Falls hurler Qian Pei. It was Tsou's 2nd double of the year.

Tsou called the win "a collective effort."
