Austin first baseman Elijah Scott helped his team beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 9-6. Scott, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA with a .396 on-base percentage, went 2 for 3 for the Black Mambas. The win was credited to Duane Coleman in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Cecil Drabek took the loss. Austin is now 14-11, Ellenburg 12-13.

Austin used a timely hit from Alfonso Ramos to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Scott.
