Clifton goes 3-for-4, Squirrel Monkeys Move to 12-8
A 3-RBI performance from Jeremy Clifton helped the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys beat the Pawnee ParksNRec, 8-3. Steve Gourin, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 5. The loss drops the ParksNRec to 15-5.

With Syracuse leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Clifton came up to bat against Pawnee pitcher Gani Palu-ay. Clifton hit a splitter to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 7-3.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Clifton told the Syracuse Today.
