Red Pandas Saddle Dodos with 8-5 Loss
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, knocking off the Hialeah Dodos, 8-5. Starting pitcher Luis Bongers was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Bongers, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Ronald McDonald picked up the save for Sioux Falls, his 4th of the year.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Saikaku Furukawa barreled up a fastball from Jesús Ríos. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Red Pandas in front, 4-0.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Bongers, "but we could've played better."

The Dodos drop to 7-12.
